The ConSpare team grows with addition of Matt Mendham

We are thrilled to announce that Matt Mendham has joined ConSpare. Matt joins as Business and Product Development Manager, a newly created role within the company. In addition to building relationships with our long-standing customer base, Matt will be working closely with our three specialist departments to find, launch and integrate the next wave of problem solving components and equipment for the concrete batch plant.

A Background In Concrete Production

Having worked for some of the biggest names in the precast concrete sector, Matt brings almost a decade of experience working in the industry in a range of senior roles within production and operations. His impressive CV includes being appointed as Operations Manager for a leading precast site in the Midlands, where he was directly responsible for around 130 operational staff members. As a result, he is well-acquainted with key issues faced in the concrete industry.

Matt has also worked in a number of other industries, including glass manufacturing, advanced coatings production, and metal manufacturing.

Commenting on his experience in the industry, Matt stated the importance of getting the most from the concrete batching plant and also improving wellbeing for site staff:

“I’d say for me, one of the most important factors that affected my roles was having a thorough understanding of the mix requirements, process parameters and equipment required to produce consistently high-quality concrete. Ensuring the batching and mixing processes ran smoothly was vital in achieving the right tolerances.

For my team, though, they would often voice frustrations with the unproductive ‘dirty jobs’ that should be avoidable if the equipment is performing effectively. It was a key part of my role to try and address these concerns so that I could keep staff happy.”

Having previously used ConSpare products, Matt is well-placed to help customers get the most from our comprehensive range of equipment and spare parts.

Matt has used some of our most well-known process improvement equipment over the years to help look after his plants and staff, including TEKA mixers, Walter Washout Systems, and Hydronix Moisture Measurement equipment. He also oversaw the installation of a wide range of replacement mixer spares, as well as Matrox Premium Polyethylene flow liners, and STARCLEAN® belt cleaners.

Managing Director, David Bullock, commented:

“ConSpare has been helping the concrete industry for decades to improve their production processes. Matt brings a wealth of concrete industry experience with him, and we believe it will help us to gain an even deeper insight into our customers and the challenges they face.

Matt will be playing a big role in promoting the latest best practice to our customers, both at a plant and national level. I believe Matt will be a great addition to ConSpare and is an ideal fit for this role. I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together.”

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, staying active and attending live music events.

We’re pleased to welcome Matt to the business and wish him every success in his new role. Be sure to introduce yourself by connecting with him on LinkedIn. Or why not get in touch to arrange a site visit?
