Precast sector is motoring, according to industry experts

ConSpare

A senior team from ConSpare descended on the iconic Silverstone – the home of British motor racing – earlier this month to gain a vital insight into the latest trends and issues in the precast concrete sector.

Our Managing Director, James Bullock, and Engineering Director, Steve Peterson, were at the world-renowned sporting venue, as we introduced our ‘Make it better’ concept to the precast world.

We were exhibiting and taking part in Precast 2018, the annual expo and business event of British Precast, the trade association for the UK precast concrete industry. British Precast represents members in health and safety, sustainability and technical matters.

The day offered an outstanding programme, with top speakers from the Health & Safety Executive, Concrete Products Association, and BRE.

Sir Ken Knight, Chair of the Independent Expert Advisory, presented the topic of Grenfell, and the repercussions of the tragedy for the future of the construction sector.

British Precast also highlighted its main priorities, including improving site safety and sustainability, and how the industry can cope with the ongoing digital revolution and the challenges surrounding Brexit.

Following our recent appearance at the UK Concrete Show, Precast 2018 was another opportunity to unveil our new ‘Make it better’ concept to the market.

It was also great to catch-up with two of our clients in particular, both of which have recently benefitted from our new approach to solving batch plant problems and the transformational benefit it can bring. Watch this space for details about these two exciting projects.

‘Make it better’ enables us to assess the whole concrete production process and utilise specialist products to provide solutions which improve specific plant operations.

By looking at the plant through our customers’ eyes, we can deliver improvements which specifically address their individual priorities.

While solving problems individually provides plant improvement, delivering that improvement across the plant provides transformation.

The very core of ‘Make it better’ is about collaborating with our customers to transform the concrete production process.

Next up on the calendar for ConSpare is Hillhead 2018, another key event in the industry calendar.

We are looking forward to taking the ‘Make it better’ message to the show, so if you’re going, why not swing by Stand F6 to see how ‘Make it better’ can help bring transformation to your plant and processes?
