MPA Awards News 2026 – Banner

The Mineral Products Association’s (MPA) annual awards ceremony took place in July 2026, celebrating innovation and best practice in Health & Safety amongst MPA members. ConSpare received recognition in two categories at this year’s MPA Health & Safety Awards – a great achievement, which follows on from a win in 2024 for our sister business, ProSpare.

MPA Health & Safety Awards

The Mineral Products Association (MPA) is the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, dimension stone, lime, mortar and industrial sand industries.

This year’s MPA Health & Safety Awards took place on 7th July in Euston Square, London.  The event highlights outstanding actions, initiatives, innovations and leadership practices – from individuals and small teams to major global players. Sharing crucial information about how to make workplaces safer, and celebrating the achievements of those involved, the awards exemplify the core values of Vision Zero ‘Safe and Well Every Day’.

This year’s awards featured 113 entries from 32 companies across seven topics, including ‘The Fatal 6’, Eurobitume, the new Outstanding Contractor Award, Individual and Young Leader awards, and the prestigious John Crabbe and Sir Frank Davies Awards.

Recognition for ConSpare

In 2024, we were delighted to be selected as a finalist at the MPA awards, and this success buoyed us to enter two further entries into the 2026 edition of the awards.

Our two entries to this year’s awards were built upon successful projects detailed in ConSpare case studies – which we then revisited in partnership with the client to ascertain the full range of Health & Safety benefits that the projects delivered.

Project 1: ConeFlex mixer discharge chute liner eliminates a source of HAVS risk and working at height

Category: Safer Maintenance And Housekeeping

Position: Highly Commended

Project 2: Production board cleaning innovation – Reducing circulation of dust throughout factory, improving safety for workers

Many thanks to the teams at Heidelberg Materials UK and Brett Landscaping and Building Products for supporting our entries. Although we didn’t win this year, we are proud of the safety improvements these projects made on their respective sites – and appreciate the recognition via the MPA.
