SPILL-EX Conveyor Skirt Sealing System
SPILL-EX skirt sealing systems prevent spillage and dust at conveyor loading and transfer points. SPILL-EX is extremely effective. Used in thousands of applications across Europe for over 20 years, SPILL-EX not only makes the process infinitely cleaner, it also offers exceptional durability. Over 5 years service life is not uncommon in heavy duty applications.
SPILL-EX consists of a robust, corrosion resistant backing plate with independently adjustable segmented rubber blocks which contact the conveyor belt to create a seal. A clever mounting system with uni directional serrated clamps guarantees optimum belt seal positioning is maintained. Encapsulated locking bolts ensure easy adjustment and simple, user friendly maintenance over the long term.
Manufactured from a specially developed 55 shore virgin grade rubber our sealing blocks offer maximum elasticity, creating a remarkably effective seal on trough or flat belts without causing belt wear. The durable, low cost rubber blocks are separately adjusted to follow the contours of the belt for effective sealing and can be removed individually from the front to prevent problems in tight headroom applications.
SPILL-EX is available in 3 different designs to match individual conveyor designs:
Light duty, limited headroom
Model BS or BR is extremely competitively priced. It is ideal for light duty applications with headroom of up to 100mm. Available in 1000mm lengths.
Model LPS is extremely versatile and cost effective in medium duty applications with headroom up to 150mm. Available in 1000mm lengths. Often used in conjunction with HDR rear skirt modules.
Model HDS side skirts and HDR rear skirt modules are for the most arduous applications with high filling / transfer point loading and aggressive raw materials. Headroom of 200mm is required and modules are 1200mm long as standard. Simply cut to suit other lengths.
SPILL-EX operates as part of the overall conveyor loading system. In order to achieve optimum performance, other aspects of the loading system should be functioning correctly: belts should effectively supported under load points, tracked correctly and kept clean.
