Hydro-Probe is designed to accurately detect aggregate moisture levels in bins, silos and on conveyors. Material flowing passed the faceplate is digitally read 25 times per second for excellent accuracy.
Direct digital connection to PC or Control System
Choice of installation options to suit all bin and conveyor applications
Configurable alarms can be set for ‘bin empty’ and ‘moisture too high’ levels
The industry is undertaking projects to reduce its environmental impact and CO2, yet the concrete batching plant itself is often overlooked. We believe carbon emissions associated with production can be cut by improving the performance of concrete batch plants and employing smart maintenance solutions.
A leading readymix producer was using an average moisture figure when weighing out raw materials. By installing Hydronix moisture measurement equipment into the sand bins the moisture levels could be accurately measured batch-by-batch, allowing the plant control system to automatically adjust the water input to compensate.
The client reported an average reduction of 26kg of cement per cubic metre of concrete after installing Hydronix, with annual cement savings equivalent to:
• 1030 tonnes of CO2 • And £185,000
A range of products are available to complement Hydronix sensors. Including calibration software, digital sensor to control unit/pc interfaces and moisture displays. Wearing replacement parts are also available for all probes.

An alternative to the Hydro-Probe, Hydro-Skid
The Hydro-Skid is a mounting device designed to enable a Hydro-Mix moisture sensor to ride over the surface of flowing material on a belt conveyor. Measurements are then taken by the sensor as the material passes underneath. Contact us for further details.
