Join ConSpare at the show

Having exhibited at all previous shows, ConSpare returns for the 12th edition of The UK Concrete Show. We will again be front and centre in our usual position across from the main entrance to the exhibition.

At this year’s UK Concrete Show, we will continue to highlight our drive to help make plants and production more sustainable, but we’ll also be shining a light on how batch plant equipment selection and maintenance decisions have a positive impact on the welfare of site staff.

Eight members of the ConSpare team will be available on stand. In addition to our recently appointed CEO James Bullock, we will have Tom, Darren, Rob and Dan from the Spares Department; Nick and Alex from the Capital team; and John from Bulk Materials Handling.

As ever, we will be bringing a number of interesting exhibits to the show that highlight solutions to common problems seen on concrete batch plants, including

  • A wide range of mixer wear parts and spare parts
  • A Teka THT turbine mixer
  • WAM’s new SILOTOP polyTUBE™ silo venting filter
  • CDX mixer venting filter
  • Problem solving Belt conveyor components
  • ConeFlex mixer discharge chute

Show debut – TEKA THT turbine mixer

The centrepiece of our stand will be the revolutionary Teka THT 750 turbine mixer. The 0.5m³ high-performance mixer is highly recognisable due to the unique MixTurbine mixing tool. This particular machine is finished in show spec, showcasing three different wear plate options, a Walter RD3 cleaning head and Hydronix Hydro-Mix probe.

THT mixers are optimised for use with premium concretes and the most difficult mixing tasks, and are ideally suited to the demands of face-mix, fibre, foam, self-compacting, colour and ultra-high strength concretes.

If you’re impressed with the THT during the show, the good news is that you can purchase this machine ex-stock!

Show debut – WAM SILOTOP polyTUBE™

Making its exhibition debut with us is the next-generation silo venting filter from WAM Group, the SILOTOP® polyTUBE™.

For visitors to the show who are searching for products which can improve the sustainability of the production process and reduce energy costs, it is definitely worth speaking to us about polyTUBE™.

This innovative silo venting filter is extremely energy efficient. The polyTUBE™ filter cartridges are cleaned using pulse mechanical cleaning instead of the traditional method of reverse-jet cleaning, eliminating the use of compressed air. Compressed air requires large amounts of electricity, and this electricity is responsible for significant financial costs and CO2 emissions.

Attend: 'Addressing the “S” of ESG for concrete batch plants' Seminar

Thursday 21st March, 13:00 – 14:30

Following on from ConSpare’s environmentally focused ‘Sustainability is a Concrete Matter’ white paper launched at the UK Concrete Show in 2023, ConSpare is soon to launch its next report focussing on the ‘Social’ aspect of ESG for concrete batch plants.

In recent years, the industry has made huge strides to advance sustainability and reduce carbon output at the plant level, however there is now a growing consideration of social issues at batching plants, meaning that decisions are increasingly being influenced by a combination of business reasons, sustainability credentials and social impact.

James’ presentation will discuss what ‘social’ means in practice for batch plants, the challenges associated with understanding how to create better, cleaner and safer conditions at each of the UK’s nearly 2,000 batch plants, and three of the main problems that must be addressed – dust, cleaning and manual interventions. Using case studies and testimonials from plant managers, James will ultimately explore how we can make the lives of batchers better – and how this will benefit the industry as a whole.
